Whoopi Goldberg Tapped To Host Tony Awards

New York, NY (CNS) - Whoopi Goldberg has been tapped to host this year's Tony Awards. "The View" host is set to emcee the awards show for Broadway plays on June 15.
Goldberg, 52, has expressed her excitement on hosting the 62nd annual awards night at the New York's Radio City Music Hall.
The multi-award winning actress has been quoted by eonline.com as saying, "I'm very excited to be hosting the Tony Awards. I love Broadway, and I'm thrilled to be doing anything for the first time. I'm gonna have a blast."
The 62nd Annual Tony Awards will be held at New York's Radio City Music Hall.
Goldberg is one of the few actors to win an Oscar, a Tony, and an Emmy in their career. She is currently co-hosting "The View" alongside Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hassleback, Sherri Shepard, and Barbara Walters.
