Baltimore, MD (AHN) - All hell broke loose at the Baltimore Ravens training facility last weekend. What began as a very intensive, highly charged practice ended up in a brawl involving rookies, starters and even coaches.

All in front of reporters and photographers.

"I think our guys are competitive. They like football," Ravens Coach John Harbaugh explained. "It's going to happen. I think as they realize the tempo of the practice is going to stay the same, it will probably happen less and less. They're a feisty bunch."

The Ravens have been grueling their team exhaustively. Though current practices do not involve full pads, some observers there were truly surprised at how intensely the offense played the defense, and how hard people were hitting each other.

What began as a dispute between new draft pick and offensive tackle Oniel Cousins, and free agent defensive tackle Amon Gordon, erupted into a brawl that involved all 85 team members, including their coaches.

"I was just trying to finish a block, and he was trying not to let me," Cousins told the Baltimore Sun. "He was trying to get loose, and he was getting upset."

If it was amusing to anyone, it was Rex Ryan, the Defensive coordinators. Reporters witnessed him laughing in the background.

"[Harbough's] always in control," Ryan told ESPN. "When it's not going his way, he'll get it going his way. That's part of it right now. I think there are a lot of people that are anxious and uncertain. We want it to be chaos. That's what John's talked about. You look at the tempo of our offense, the way we're setting things up and the different things we're doing under Cam. It's just new. It's more pressure on everybody."

The Ravens finished off a 5-11 season last year, and are hoping to remake themselves from the bottom up. Everyone in practice is very eager to prove their worth to the franchise.

"You go 5-11, guess what? You'd better be intense," defensive end Trevor Pryce
