May 12, 2008 9:32 p.m. EST Norman Vergara - AHN Sports Writer New York, NY (AHN) - The NBA on Monday released the league's All-Defensive Team this season with MVP Kobe Bryant leading four other players in the list. Joining Bryant on the first team was Defensive Player of the Year Kevin Garnett, San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan and teammate Bruce Bowen, and the league's best shot blocker, Marcus Camby. The second team was also announced on Monday, with New Orleans' Chris Paul and Phoenix Suns' Raja Bell at guards, Houston's Shane Battier and Detroit's Tayshaun Prince at forwards and Orlando's Dwight Howard at center. The selection was the eighth for Bryant while Duncan made it to the list for the 11th time in his career. Garnett, who anchored Boston to the league's best turnaround in one season, was named for the ninth time. Camby, whose 3.6 blocks per game was the highest this season, is in his second straight selection while Bowen was chosen for the eighth time. Bryant and Garnett led the voting with 24 first-place votes from NBA coaches.
