May 14, 2008 11:12 p.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Isaiah Washington has filed a complaint with the Screen Actors Guild against his former show "Grey's Anatomy" over the use of his image. The sacked actor says that his character, Dr. Preston Burke, was featured in a "newspaper article" showing his image in an episode that first aired on May 9. ABC decided not to renew Washington's contract on the fourth season after controversies surrounding the actor's use of a homophobic slur against castmate T.R. Knight. Washington, 44, claims that after he left the show in 2007, the network has no right over the use of his picture without his consent. His attorney, Peter Nelson, has sent notices to ABC and SAG regarding the alleged inappropriate use of his image. Publicist Howard Bragman has been quoted by The Hollywood Reporter as saying, "They have the rights of the character to advance the story, but not the image." He adds that they expect a "financial settlement" with this case.
