Ed Sutherland - AHN Editor New York, NY (AHN) - Billionaire investor Carl Icahn announced a slate of nominees for Yahoo's board of directors, just the latest move in an attempt to get the Internet company and software giant Microsoft back to the bargaining table. Icahn, who has acquired 59 million shares of Yahoo since the company broke off acquisition negotiations with Microsoft, nominated 10 names, including himself for the July 3 Yahoo board of directors' election. Among the names are Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Viacom CEO Frank J. Biondi Jr. In a letter to Yahoo chairman Roy Bostock, Icahn said the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company "has acted irrationally and lost the faith of shareholders." Icahn is working with D.F. King to prepare his proxy fight, according to the Wall Street Journal.
