Tokyo, Japan (AHN) - Japanese inventors and Triumph International Ltd., have designed a "solar-powered bra" which aims to raise awareness against global warming on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan's capital city.

The environment-friendly bra was designed to conserve energy and is capable and designed to generate enough power to charge a cellular phone or Ipod.

It features a solar panel that can be worn around the waist which enables it to store and produce electricity from sunlight and room lighting.

The company said the bra is not intended for outdoor use and it's not for sale as of the meantime.

They also said, "people usually cannot got outside without wearing clothes over it and it should not be washed or worn in the rain to avoid damage."

According to the bra's maker spokeswoman, she hopes to send messages that lingerie can be eco-friendly and can save the planet Earth.

Eco-friendly items in Japan are gaining popularity and the solar energy bra is just one of the latest inventions.
