Los Angeles, CA (BANG) - Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are set to marry. The talk show host and the former 'Ally McBeal' actress - who have been dating for four years - will tie the knot after the California Supreme Court overruled the state's ban on gay marriage.

Ellen made the announcement during the filming of her TV show yesterday, where she was given a standing ovation by the audience.

Speaking about the change in law, Ellen said: "I'm thrilled that the California Supreme Court overturned the ban on gay marriage. I can't wait to get married. We all deserve the same rights, and I believe that someday we'll look back on this and not allowing gays to marry will seem as absurd as not allowing women to vote."

Ellen has previously spoken about her love for Portia, saying the blonde beauty completes her.

She said: "I could say the same thing I've said in every relationship, 'I'm happy.' But there's happiness and there's love, and then there's completion."

"It doesn't take away from any of the relationships that I've had, because I've had amazing relationships. But I feel like I found my perfect fit."
