London, England (BANG) - Sienna Miller is in talks to star in 'Wuthering Heights.' The actress is in line to take the lead role of Catherine 'Cathy' Earnshaw after Natalie Portman pulled out last week.

The 'Factory Girl' star has just finished working on 'The Edge of Love', which was directed by John Maybury - who is also at the helm of the big screen adaptation of Emily Bronte's classic novel.

If she signs up, Sienna will star alongside Michael Fassbender, who has just been unveiled as the movie's Heathcliff.

A spokesperson for the film's producers said: "Michael's our Heathcliff. He has the raw quality we were looking for. He's the right actor for the role, and he has a sense of star quality about him."

Michael can soon be seen in 'Hunger', a movie about Ireland's Maze Prison during the infamous IRA hunger strikes. 'Hunger' made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival last night.

'Wuthering Heights' bosses were furious after Natalie pulled out of the role, saying she had "seduced" them into giving her the role after actively pursuing the part.
