New Delhi, India (AHN) - Most of the foreign airlines are now taking off from India's airports during daylight hours as pressing civil aviation ministry.

Under the new arrangement, travelers wishing to fly abroad now have more options of traveling during day time, with several foreign airlines launching more flights during these hours for passengers' convenience following India's insistence.

India, a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), has been contending that the night curfew at many European and U.S. airports should be done away with as this practice is unfair to travelers from the developing world, especially those in the East, the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.

International carriers like Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways have also launched new morning flights out of Delhi, while Cathay Pacific, which now operates two flights, has one each in morning and evening.

British carrier Virgin Atlantic has introduced day flights from Delhi to Europe and other destinations. British Airways has followed by introducing its more flight during the day.

German carrier Lufthansa now also operates day time flights to Munich out of Delhi and Mumbai, apart from its night services to Frankfurt.

Emirates Airlines of the United Arab Emirates has two-day flights out of Mumbai to Dubai, while Sri Lankan Airlines operates twice during the day out of Chennai.
