Ashlee Simpson, Pete Wentz Officially Become "Newlyweds"

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Jessica Simpson has officially passed on to her little sister the title of "newlyweds." Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have exchanged vows at her parents' L.A. home Saturday evening.

The couple's spokesperson confirms to People magazine, "We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends."

Ashlee's former Baptist minister dad Joe had performed the non-denominational ceremony in front of 150 guests, while big sister Jessica served as her maid of honor. Pete's English bulldog, Hemingway, walked down the aisle as their ring-bearer.

The 23-year-old "L.O.V.E." singer wore a Monique Lhuillier ivory lace gown, accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings by jeweler Neil Lane. The groom wore a Dior Homme tux.

Guests, including couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, Donald Faison and CaCee Cobb, were served Rose Veuve Clicquot champagne at the "Alice in Wonderland" themed reception.

Amidst breakup reports, Jessica's boyfriend Tony Romo accompanied the maid of honor as her date for the evening.

Ashlee, who is rumored to be pregnant with their first child, has been linked to the 28-year-old Fall Out Boy rocker since 2006. They announced their engagement last month.
