Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Janet Jackson is praising the designer of her notorious nipple-baring Super Bowl costume, saying that he is a great "love" in her life.

The "wardrobe malfunction" happened during the half-time show of the 2004 Super bowl when Justin Timberlake tore off part of Jackson's corset and exposed her breast to millions of unsuspecting viewers.

British designer Alexander McQueen confirmed earlier this week that he did design the tight black costume that Jackson wore, which prompted Jackson to rush to his defense by saying that she did not hold him responsible for the slip up.

She tells Fox News, "I thought maybe only half of the outfit was (his design), but I guess he did all of it." She adds, "I don't blame him; he didn't rip it. Alexander is so great at what he does - he's a genius. I've loved him for a long time, ever since I saw one of his very first shows 10 years ago in London, which is where we first met."

Jackson is currently preparing for her 2008 world tour. Her latest album, Discipline, was released in February.
