Hollywood, CA (BANG) - Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz have got married.

The couple was pronounced husband and wife by Ashlee's former Baptist minister father Joe in a non-denominational ceremony on Saturday night.

A spokesperson for the newlyweds said: "We are delighted to confirm that Pete and Ashlee were married in front of family and close friends."

The nuptials took place at Ashlee's parents' home in Encino, California, and were attended by around a 150 guests, including Nicole Richie and her lover Joel Madden and actor Donald Faison and his girlfriend CaCee Cobb.

As expected, Ashlee's sister Jessica was maid of honour, while Pete's pet English bulldog, Hemingway, was the ring-bearer.

The 'Outta My Head' singer looked radiant in an ivory lace wedding gown, designed by Monique Lhuillier.

After tying the knot, Pete and Ashlee celebrated with an 'Alice in Wonderland' themed reception, which included a wedding cake inspired by the classic children's book. The sweet treat was adorned with a top hat, stop watch, tea pot and a pot of flowers.

Fall Out Boy rocker Pete, 28, and Ashlee, 23, announced their engagement in April and are believed to have been dating since 2006.

Reports that Ashlee is pregnant with the couple's first child are yet to be confirmed.
