George Clooney Talks About Film Legend Sydney Pollack

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Actor George Clooney is speaking out on the death of film legend Sydney Pollack, saying that Pollack made the world a better place. Pollack died of cancer on Monday at the age of 73.

Clooney released a statement saying, "Sydney made the world a little better, movies a little better and even dinner a little better."

Clooney worked with Pollack on the 2007 movie "Michael Clayton." Pollack served as co-producer of the movie and also starred in the film. He also served as executive producer of Clooney's film "Leatherheads."

Pollack, however, was most famous for directing the movies "Out of Africa," "Tootsie" and "The Way We Were."

Clooney's statement went on to say, "A tip of the hat to a class act. He'll be missed terribly."
