Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Actor Matthew McConaughey has had a successful career, being named People's Sexiest Man Alive and starred in numerous films including "Failure To Launch," "Contact," "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" and "The Wedding Planner." Now his fame is extending to his family, as his brother, Rooster McConaughey, is getting his own reality show called "Black Gold."

Rooster, whose real name is Michael Patrick McConaughey, is a pipe supplier who will star in the new reality show from the producers of the series "Deadliest Catch" and "Ice Road Truckers." The shows are known for taking a glimpse into the lives of men with some of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Rooster, a good ole boy from Texas who named his second son Miller Lyte after his favorite beer, doesn't actually work on oil rigs, but does supply the pipe. The show, which will premiere June 18 on truTV, will take viewers inside the race to find oil in Texas.

Rooster is used to the high stakes business of oil drilling, and the risks also. When the oil business went bust, he regrouped and named his company Chapter 11 Pipe. Sounds like a reality show right there.
