May 28, 2008 7:10 p.m. EST Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service New York, NY (CNS) - New York Rangers hockey player Sean Avery will soon be trading in his skates for something a little more fashionable. Avery has landed a gig as an intern with Vogue magazine. The hockey player, and former boyfriend of Elisha Cuthbert, is said to love fashion and treat it with the same aggression he uses on the ice while playing hockey. Apparently Avery wrote a letter to editor Anna Wintour requesting the much sought-after internship. His persistence paid off and a Vogue rep has confirmed that Avery has the job. Vogue told People.com that Avery will "work with senior editors on various projects, help research photo shoots, features on individuals, and non-fashion-related features." So will Avery have to run impossible errands like in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada?" The errands may not be that drastic, but the Vogue rep says that will be part of the hockey stars responsibilities.
