Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Veteran comedian Bill Cosby is putting his legendary sweaters up for bidding. He has teamed up with Auction Cause to offer his sweaters in an upcoming eBay.com auction.

Cosby, 70, had worn the sweaters on "The Cosby Show" episodes from 1984 to 1992. The proceeds of the auction will go to the Hello Friend/Ennis William Foundation charity, a non-profit educational organization founded by the Cosby family in 1997 after the murder of Cosby's son, Ennis.

The iconic winter wear will be sold from June 2 to 12 at eBay Giving Works, eBay's program for charity listings.

The actor played the role of fun-loving Dr. Heathcliff "Cliff" Huxtable in the hit sitcom.
