Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Veronica Belmont, the former host of "Mahalo Daily," is the new co-host of "Tekzilla" - the show that embraces digital technology. Belmont, who has already established herself as one of the top stars of Web tech media, will co-host the Revision3 show with current host Patrick Norton. Belmont told Celebrity News Service in an exclusive interview that she is looking forward to hanging out with Norton and the show's producer Roger Chang, as she has known both of them for years. "The best thing about hosting 'Tekzilla' is that I get to talk about the things I'm obsessed with. It makes your job a lot easier, and a lot more fun, when you love the subject matter," she told CNS. Belmont is hoping to attract a female audience, as well as a male following, on "Tekzilla." She said, "There are still girls out there that aren't comfortable admitting they're into this kind of subject matter. I guess I want to show them that you can still be a pretty well-rounded girl and still enjoy typical "girly" things, but also like video games and gadgets." Belmont, whose background is in audio production, said her original dream was to do the field sound on a documentary in some exotic location. She moved toward the technical field instead, hosting and producing "Mahalo Daily." She frequently guest hosts other technology related webcasts and also speaks about technology, gaming and social networking on a variety of media outlets. She regularly appears on programs including DLTV, MSNBC, CNBC, the G4 Network, "PC Gamer" and "This Week in Tech." While Belmont knows a great deal about technology, she admitted to CNS that her favorite electronic device is her iPhone. "I'd be lost without my iPhone at this point. It's my lifeline when I'm away from my computer, and I get separation anxiety when I forget it at home. I'm looking forward to getting the 3G version when it comes out," she said. Belmont isn't the only one excited about her new gig with "Tekzilla." "Veronica Belmont is one of the most original, authentic and enjoyable video personalities, both online and off. She's been a frequent guest on 'Tekzilla,' and she and host Patrick Norton just clicked," said Jim Louderback, Revision3 CEO. "She's a perfect counterpoint to Patrick, and will add tremendous depth and excitement to 'Tekzilla' - already one of our most popular shows at Revision3. We're lucky to be her new home."
