June 2, 2008 11:27 p.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Miami, FL (CNS) - Rapper Stack$ is "lucky and thankful" to have escaped serious injuries after he survived a car crash in Miami Friday. Around 7:30 p.m. on Friday, the "M.I.A." singer was driving with a friend when he collided with another car, sending his Ford Explorer crashing into the barriers of an overpass. They closely missed the 40 foot fall from the bridge. Miami Police and paramedics arrived to inspect the scene. Stack$, 23, suffered second degree burns, a broken hand, chiropractic injuries and numerous cuts and bruises and was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center along with his friend to be treated. They were discharged the next day. He said at a press release, "I'm very lucky and thankful to be alive." He is currently recuperating in his South Beach residence.
