Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Bangladesh's overall imports dropped in May over the previous month following less food grains such as rice from abroad, officials said on Thursday.

A central bank official said rice imports for June may decline further because of seasonal impact.

Imports worth $1.9 billion arrived in May compared to $2.6 billion for April, data showed.
