June 5, 2008 11:43 a.m. EST Siddique Islam - AHN South Asia Correspondent Dhaka, Bangladesh (AHN) - Bangladesh's overall imports dropped in May over the previous month following less food grains such as rice from abroad, officials said on Thursday. A central bank official said rice imports for June may decline further because of seasonal impact. Imports worth $1.9 billion arrived in May compared to $2.6 billion for April, data showed.
