June 21, 2008 10:53 a.m. EST Jupiter Kalambakal - AHN News Writer Chicago, IL (AHN) - United Airlines is set to enforce a new round of price increases - this time on its cheapest seats, as it struggles to retain profitability and offset rising fuel costs. United passengers will have to shell out between $1 and $90 more on low-budget seats. The fare increase averages $25 one way. Moreover, a United spokesman said that starting Oct. 6, the airline will begin enforcing a minimum of one to three nights, or a weekend night stay, for economy seats on all domestic flights. The policy, however, does not apply to flights booked in other classes.
