Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Comedian and actor George Carlin passed away on Sunday evening in Los Angeles, at the age of 71. Carlin's publicist Jeff Abraham says the award-winning comedian died at St. John's Health Center after being admitted to the hospital with chest pain.
Carlin, who's landmark stand-up comedy routine "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" prompted a legal case that made its way to the U.S. Supreme Court, was known for his satire on politics and the American way of life.
