June 23, 2008 7:21 a.m. EST Jennifer Tormo - Celebrity News Service Entertainment Intern Hollywood, CA (CNS) - Rob Patterson, guitarist for alternative-metal band Korn reveals that he is writing material for a solo album. Patterson caught up with Celebrity News Service at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood on Sunday. He was there with fiancé Carmen Electra. Patterson was in attendance for the casino's unveiling of their first legal Blackjack and other table games. He and Electra hosted the first official Blackjack deal. Patterson also got the crowd excited when he smashed a guitar on stage to kick off the games. Patterson says to expect something a bit different with the new album. "Believe it or not, my music is a total departure from what people know me by," he tells CNS. Patterson describes the album as "more like hip-hop." He adds that his music is influenced by Portishead and Nine Inch Nails. It was confirmed back in April that Patterson and Electra are engaged. At the moment, it seems unlikely that Patterson will follow in Electra's footsteps and venture into reality TV. "No one's ever asked me," the star says. He adds that he might consider it "if it was something cool."
