June 30, 2008 10:48 a.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer New York, NY (CNS) - A supermodel apparently committed suicide when she fell from her ninth-storey apartment in Manhatten's financial district on Saturday. Kazakhstan-born Russian model Ruslana Korshunova was found dead outside her apartment on Saturday. Eyewitnesses claim they saw a body leap from the balcony. Officials noted no sign of a struggle inside her quarters and friends deny seeing signs that Korshunova would want to end her life. Artem Perchenok, former boyfriend, told the New York Post that he had watched the movie "Ghost" with her before he dropped her off at home around 5 a.m. that day. A friend also told the publication that Korshunova, who was paid around $5,000 for a gig, was "one of the sweetest, nicest people you'll ever meet." "There were no signs. That's what's driving me crazy. I don't see one reason why she would do that." But her posts on her social networking blog suggest relationship problems. She wrote three months ago, "I'm so lost. Will I ever find myself?" Korshunova was under fashion agency IMG. She had appeared as a cover girl on the French Elle and Russian Vogue. She also appeared in campaigns for Nina Ricci, DKNY, Vera Wang, and Christian Dior.
