July 6, 2008 4:06 a.m. EST Matt Aug - AHN Sports Editor Bethesda, MD. (AHN) - Using a steady-as-it-goes approach, Tom Pernice Jr. took a one-shot lead over Steve Stricker at the AT&T National on Saturday. While other golfers fluctuated between shooting bogeys and birdies, Pernice performed solidly in making 15 pars to finish at a one-under 69 heading into Sunday's final round . Stricker also played well, only making a pair of bogeys, one of which he atoned for with a birdie on the 10th hole. Jeff Overton, who came into Saturday tied with Pernice, hurt himself with consecutive bogeys but is only two shots back. Overton has company in third-place, including Tommy Armour III (66) and Nick O'Hern (67), both of whom enjoyed strong rounds on Saturday.
