Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - To the big disappointment of "Friends" fans, the hit NBC sitcom will not be doing a movie version, contrary to recent reports.

Rumors of a reunion have been plaguing gossip sites and blogs recently. It had been said that Jennifer Aniston became jealous of the box office success of "Sex and the City" that she wants to recreate the same victory for their former show.

However, a rep for Warner Bros. U.K. has denied the story, as well as reps for the actors.

Courteney Cox Arquette's rep told BBC that he was not aware of the plans, while Matthew Perry's publicist said "Nothing is happening in this regard, so the rumor is false."

Likewise, David Schwimmer's publicist said, "There's been no discussion about it," and Jennifer Aniston's rep has told Page Six that they are "not aware of any such project. I really don't know [if she would have any interest.]"
