Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica To Perform At This Year's OZZFest

Dallas, TX (CNS) - Heavy metal heavyweights Ozzy Osbourne and Metallica are set to join forces for a one-day stadium experience on August 9 at Pizza Hut Park in Dallas.

The organizers of the OZZFest annual festival tour have announced special VIP ticket packages for the rock fans. The packages range from $79.50 to $129.50.

This year's festival will get the Prince of Darkness to play in the concert, his only U.S. appearance through the end of 2008. The Los Angeles-based band will also perform on stage for the event.

OZZFest will feature some of the hardest rocking bands on three stages: the Ozzfest Main Stage, the Jagermeister Second Stage, and the Monster Energy Texas Stage.

Performers include Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Hellyeah, Jonathan Davis (Korn), Cavalera Conspiracy, Shadows Fall, Apocalyptica, and In This Moment for the main stage. The Jagermeister Second Stage's lineup includes Sevendust, Devildriver, Kindgom of Sorrow, Soilent Green, Witchcraft and Goatwhore. For the Monster Energy Texas, The Sword, Drowning Pool, Rigor Mortis, Within Chaos and The Destro are scheduled for performance.

OZZFest is an annual festival tour founded by Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon. The tour features bands of a variety of genres within heavy metal and hard rock.
