DeAnna Pappas Chooses Snowboarding Jesse At "The Bachelorette's" Final Rose Ceremony

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Bachelorette DeAnna Pappas became Jesse's Girl at the final rose ceremony Monday night. The snowboarding bachelor dropped to one knee and asked the bachelorette if she would spend forever with him, and received an enthusiastic "yes" from this season's main girl.

Jesse's joy on "The Bachelorette" was equal to Jason's distraught, however. Jason, the single father of little Ty, was in love with DeAnna and felt confident going into the final rose ceremony that he would be the one getting the final rose.

When Jason dropped to one knee to ask for DeAnna's hand in marriage, she stopped him and explained that she was in love with Jesse. Jason's hurt was evident.

Following "The Bachelorette," ABC offered an engagement party of sorts, where Chris Harrison hosted and Jason got a chance to sit next to DeAnna and try to understand why she didn't pick him. The uncomfortableness, and the tears, were evident as DeAnna tried to explain that she was in love with Jesse.

That was evident when Jesse and DeAnna were reunited on stage, the first time in public, and couldn't keep their hands off of each other. At one point Harrison said he was going to have to hose them down.

The happy couple did announce they have set a wedding date of May 9, 2009. Their wedding will take place in the Bahamas, and ABC has given the happy, and now lucky, couple a honeymoon trip to Greece.
