Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Attorney's for pop star Britney Spears were due in court on Tuesday in her behalf, but the hearing has been postponed. The court hearing in the custody case surrounding the singer's children has been rescheduled for Friday.

Spears's attorneys were due to appear in court Tuesday for a further hearing into custody and visitation rights concerning the singer's two children, Sean and Jayden, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

A Los Angeles court official confirmed the hearing had been rescheduled for Friday. Although no explanation was given for the postponement, entertainment news website TMZ.com said the move may indicate settlement talks are underway.

Last month Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said the case was set for a custody trial to begin on August 25.

Spears has been locked in the custody struggle with Federline since the couple split in 2006. She recently regained overnight visitation with her children.
