July 22, 2008 8:04 p.m. EST Matthew Harvey - AHN Sports Reporter San Diego, CA (AHN) - The Chargers first-round draft pick Antoine Cason continues to refuse signing with the franchise. He doesn't believe he will be making the training camp, either. Cason's agenda has been unable to get the cornerback the kind of deal that he's looking for. The negotiations have continued for months; he's the only rookie who remains unsigned. This is not the first time Chargers haven't been able to get their draft picks onto the field. In fact, going back to 2001, they average more than one hold-out every two years. The cornerback from Arizona was selected 27th overall. His presence at training camp will be missed by both Coach Norv Turner and GM A.J. Smith "I wish he was here, but he's not," coach Turner told ESPN. "I never try to speculate on progress and are they close or are they not close? There's no such thing in my mind. It's either done or it's not done. I thought it would be done now. It's not."
