Clermont, IN (AHN) - In a return to his roots, ARCA RE/MAX Series points leader Ricky Stenhouse Jr., will field a USAC Silver Crown car for Roush Fenway Racing teammate Carl Edwards.

Before running in the Berlin ARCA 200, Stenhouse will drive the No. 199 Carl Edwards/R.E. Technologies ride at Terre Haute on Wednesday and then run at O'Reilly Raceway Park on Thursday.

"Its fun," said Stenhouse. "I like to race period. That's it, I want to race. Plus it never hurts to get more laps at ORP because hopefully some day I'll run a stock car there."

Stenhouse, who came up in the open-wheel ranks of USAC, has been leading the ARCA point standings since May and won earlier this season in the ARCA race at Kentucky.

It'll be a full week for Stenhouse. He tested the No. 99 ARCA RE/MAX Ford at Nashville Superspeedway today before heading to Indiana for back-to-back races the next two nights.

"It's pretty cool because (Edwards) has good stuff," Stenhouse said. "I was driving for him before he was a teammate so it's cool. Plus they're leading the owner points in the USAC Silver Crown Series so hopefully we can keep them in the points lead.''

Stenhouse will travel to Berlin Raceway for Saturday's ARCA event.

He's made many laps at both Terre Haute and ORP so he's fully aware of some of the challenges that each track presents.

"Early on the sun will be an issue at Terre Haute," said the Olive Branch, MS, native. "It's in your face going down the back straight and you can't see at all so that will be difficult. The last couple races I've run there, a Sprint car and the last Silver Crown race I ran, the dust was just terrible so just being able to see will be a challenge."
