Long Island Teacher Back In Jail For Sex With Student

Long Island, NY (AHN) -- A Long Island teacher who plead guilty in March of having sex with a 16-year-old student is back in jail after authorities found out she was still meeting with the boy for sex.

Heather Kennedy, 25, a math teacher at Wantagh High School plead not guilty this time to charges that she has continued her affair with the boy since her original conviction, violating a court order.

Her original guilty plea was to sexual misconduct. She faced up to a year in prison. She is now charged with five counts of third-degree rape, two counts of committing a criminal sexual act , five counts of criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a minor. If convicted, Kennedy could spend four years in prison for each rape charge.
