July 24, 2008 8:33 a.m. EST Preciosa Dumlao - AHN News Writer Kashmir, India (AHN) - At least five civilians died and 21 were injured when an device exploded inside a bus compound in Kashmir Thursday, according to authorities. Police said five civilians, including three children and one woman died and 21 were injured. The massive explosion took place in Bamaloo, Srinagar, summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, an Indian rebel stronghold. Police said Indian soldiers were the target of the blast, but none of the casualties are soldiers. It is unclear what type of explosive was used. Police cordoned off the area after the blast.
