Hollywood, CA (BANG) - David Hasselhoff wishes more people would take his photograph. The former 'Baywatch' actor enjoys being famous and although he hates being hounded by paparazzi he still loves being in the public spotlight.

He said: "I am blessed. It's a wonderful, wonderful business, except for the paparazzi. But there's also some times when you walk out and you go, 'Gee, I wish somebody would take my picture.'"

The 56-year-old star, whose divorce from Pamela Bach was finalized last December, also says he decided to clean up his act to win custody of the pair's teenage daughters Taylor-Ann and Hayley.

Hasselhoff - who sparked outrage when he was caught on camera by Taylor Ann lying on a hotel floor, drunkenly trying to eat a burger last year - checked into a rehab facility in 2007 to be treated for alcoholism.

He added to Parade.com: "I said, 'You know what? I want my children, and my behavior has to change for my kids.' I eventually ended up getting full custody because my children told the truth."

"Most of the time, people look at me like I'm a member of their family. Not one person ever stopped me on the street and said anything negative except for one very drunk guy in Las Vegas who goes, 'Hey, man! Let's go out and get drunk and eat a cheeseburger.' I thought, 'There's always one.' But you know what? People realize that I'm a human being and that I take responsibility for my mistakes."
