New York, NY (CNS) - "Project Runway" mentor Tim Gunn appeared on the talk show "Live with Regis and Kelly" Tuesday morning and talked about his role on the design show.

Gunn told Regis Philbin that he is glad he isn't a judge on the design reality show. "We'd be in a constant state of fighting. I seldom agree with the outcome of who's staying and who's going home," he said.

Gunn is Chief Creative Officer at Liz Claiborne Inc. He said he joined the company to show the world that the company is serious about returning to its roots focusing on product and design.

Gunn also finds time to mentor on "Project Runway," now in its fifth season.

The show airs on the Bravo channel on Wednesdays.
