Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer New York, NY (CNS) - Fashion designers Diane von Furstenberg and the late Liz Claiborne have both been honored with their own spots on the Fashion Walk of Fame on Wednesday. This is the first time in five years that new names have been added to the coveted place in the Fashion Walk of Fame on Seventh Avenue. Fashion greats have been immortalized with the distinction annually between 2000 and 2002, including Donna Karan, Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and Anne Klein among others. Claiborne's widower, Art Orenberg, has accepted the posthumous award on behalf of his late wife, while von Furstenberg received the accolade herself. She says as she accepted the honor, "A little bit over three decades ago, I came to New York with a few little dresses I had made in a tiny suitcase and a child in my belly. I was terrified of Seventh Avenue." "It's an honor to get this from the very neighborhood that intimidated me so much."
