Matthew Harvey - AHN Sports Reporter Terre Haute, IN (AHN) - One and done, that's all it took for defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock to decide football was not the right career path for him. He made his plans public through his agent, Brad Leshnock, who alerted local media. Pitcock, a third round draft pick in 2007, did not show for training camp last Thursday as he was supposed to, which concerned the team. The 6'2, 299 pound defensive tackle had an injury early in training camp, but did managed to return to the lineup midway through last season. He played in nine games and racked up 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks. Pitcock was expected to be a high performance workhorse this coming season. While his loss is far from devastating, the Colts definitely wince to see him go. The Colts have resolved to give him as much time as he needs to reconsider, though there is no time for a Brett Favre-like drama to play out. In the meantime, the Colts have shifted Raheem Brock to the left end, and will need to find someone who can adequately back up starters Ed Johnson and Keyunta Dawson. Pitcock played that role well before opting to retire.
