August 4, 2008 9:48 p.m. EST Anne Lu - Celebrity News Service News Writer Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - David Cook, the current "American Idol" crown holder, is working with top record producer Rob Cavallo on his yet untitled rock album, he confirms the collaboration. The 25-year-old singer reveals that he is confident that working with Cavallo would help him achieve the right kind of sound he wants in his own record. He tells EW.com, "I think he's a great producer with the kind of sound that I want. And in talking to him, he's just a good guy. Like the song selection I had on the show, Rob just fit." Cavallo is an in-house producer with Green Day. He has also produced records for Goo Goo Dolls, Chris Isaak, Alanis Morissette, and My Chemical Romance. Cook says he plans to release the album in November. Meanwhile, his AI opponent, David Archuleta, has recently released his first single "Crush" on August 1.
