Amazon's Top Selling Books Of August: "The Limits Of Power: The End Of American Execptionalism," "Breaking Dawn"

Hollywood, CA (CNS) - The Limits of Power: The End of American Exceptionalism by Andrew Bacevich is Amazon's top selling book this week. The book critiques the growing American trend for building empires and discusses the recent performance of the armed forces and the leaders involved.

Stephenie Meyer's Breaking Dawn is the No. 2 top-seller. The book is the fourth in Meyer's Twilight Saga series, once again following the love story of the mortal Bella and her love, Edward, who happens to be a vampire.

Book 1 of Meyer's series, Twilight, has jumped to No. 3 on Amazon, allowing readers to start from the beginning in her series introducing Bella and Edward and their very complicated love story.

The Shack, by William P. Young, comes in at No. 4 and tells the compelling story of love, loss and blame after a grief-stricken father, Mac, deals with the murder of his six-year-old daughter, Missy. The Last Lecture, written by authors Randy Pausch and Jeffrey Zaslow, is No. 5 and tells Pausch's tale of battling terminal cancer, overcoming life's obstacles and living life to the fullest.
