Beijing, China (AHN) - While the score says it was a 9-1 triumph, the game itself was anything but clean. The U.S. may have won, but three people were ejected along the way.

Matt LaPorta currently has a mild concussion, after being beaned in the head by Chinese Relief pitcher Chen Kun.

In addition to the ejections, there were seven hit batters and two injuries. China was responsible for five of the hits.

Had the game not been in the Olympics, it's quite certain both benches may have been emptied.

LaPorta was taken to the hospital, where a CT scan revealed that his injuries were non-serious, but he will have to take it easy, and would possibly sit until the medal round.

China has since denied any accusations of deliberately hurting American players, however, the U.S. team seems more than satisfied with the result of the game, despite lingering hard feelings.
