August 21, 2008 2:34 p.m. EST Vittorio Hernandez - AHN News Writer London, England (AHN) - British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said he is confident of a Labor victory in the next general election. He said Foreign Secretary David Miliband is not a threat to his position. Miliband authored an article perceived as bidding for the leadership of the Labor Party. But a poll by Guardian Unlimited indicated that Britons prefer Tory leader David Cameron over Miliband and Brown. Cameron had a 21 percent margin over the two Labor leaders. In preparation for the election, the Labor Party will have as its political platform economic measures for families affected by the soaring prices, Brown told reporter aboard a Beijing-bound flight. The prime minister said he was bullish of a Labor poll victory despite a Mori?ipsos opinion survey which said 48 percent of voters prefer the Tories over only 24 percent who would cast their ballot for Labor.
