August 21, 2008 10:41 p.m. EST Windsor Genova - AHN News Writer Bangkok, Thailand (AHN) - Two bombs exploded one after the other at a restaurant in the southern Thailand province of Narathiwat Thursday, killing a reporter and injuring 20 others, including a police chief. The 10:40 p.m. explosion at the Si Som restaurant damaged parked motorcycles and was heard at a nearby police station in Sungai Kolok. When police and reporters arrived at the scene, another bomb exploded. Critically wounded were Col. Prapan Meemongkol, the superintendent of Sungai Kolok police station, and a stringer for TV Channel 9. No one has claimed responsibility for the blast in the Muslim-dominated province.
