Beijing, China (AHN) - The International Olympic Committee announced Sunday it doesn't see any problem with the ages of the five Chinese female gymnasts who won Olympic gold medals in Beijing.

IOC president Jacques Rogge said the paperwork pertaining to athletes' records didn't present any problems so far, upholding the country's earlier statements that its gymnasts met the 16-year-old cutoff age for the sport.

China's four gold medals in gymnastics are under scrutiny after its team of He Kexin, Yang Yilin, Jiang Yuyuan, Deng Linlin and Li Shanshan were questioned for allegedly being under the age limit.

The International Gymnastics Federation, along with the IOC, had denied the allegations before the Olympics started.

But the speculations didn't die down; especially after the host country took 17 medals. The FIG didn't say when it will announce its findings.

Chinese gymnastics officials are currently handing over records to the FIG, which include passports, birth certificates, identification cards and family residence permits.
