New York, NY (CNS) - The "Dancing with the Stars" cast was officially announced Monday on ABC's "Good Morning America," and suffice it to say it is a gold medal lineup that ranges from Olympians to teen heart throbs to soap stars, with a few reality stars thrown in just for a good mix.

Celebrity News Service was thrilled to learn of the season seven cast, probably one of the best groups so far to try to cha cha their way to the winner's circle and the mirror-ball trophy. The new dancers include Beijing Olympics gold medal winner Misty May-Treanor, "Hannah Montana" actor Cody Linley, and "All My Children" favorite Susan Lucci.

That's just a little something for everyone. If you are a sporting fan then Misty May-Treanor will fit the bill, if you're a teen that likes to scream, Cody Linley is your man, and if you are a soap fan than Susan Lucci will hopefully dance to victory.

"Dancing" professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who took last season off, will return this season. Thank goodness Maksim is coming back, and the fact that he will be paired with May-Treanor should lend itself to some incredible dancing. Olympic track star Maurice Green will also appear and be paired with two-time "Dancing" winner Cheryl Burke, and it's no secret that Olympians have done very well on "Dancing with the Stars" in past seasons.

Folks, the competition is going to be hot, hot, hot.

Three new professional dancers will join the show, including Corky Ballas (he is season six champion Mark Ballas's father), Lacey Schwimmer of 2007's "So You Think You Can Dance," and U.S. Amateur 10 Dance Champion Inna Brayer.

The show will kick off Monday, September 22 on ABC and feature the following stars paired up with the show's professional dancers:

Toni Braxton, singer, 40, and season one "Dancing" champion Alec Mazo

Lance Bass, former 'N Sync singer, 29, and Lacey Schwimmer

Ted McGinley, actor, 50, and Inna Brayer

Cloris Leachman, actress, 82, and Corky Ballas

Warren Sapp, former NFL star, 35, and Kym Johnson

Rocco DiSpirito, chef, 31, and Karina Smirnoff

Kim Kardashian, TV personality, 27, and reigning "Dancing" champion Mark Ballas

Maurice Green, Olympic gold medalist track and field star, 34, and two-time "Dancing" champ Cheryl Burke

Misty May-Treanor, Olympic gold medalist beach volleyball player, 31, and Maksim Chmerkovskiy

Susan Lucci, Emmy-award winning soap opera actress, 61, and Tony Dovolani

Jeffrey Ross, 42, comedian, and Edyta Sliwinska

Cody Linley, 18, actor, and two-time "Dancing" champ Julianne Hough

Brooke Burke, 36, TV personality, and Derek Hough
