August 27, 2008 10:48 a.m. EST Shannon Moore - Celebrity News Service Edinburgh, Scotland (CNS) - The Sci-Fi hit series "Doctor Who" may make it to the big screen sometime soon. Steven Moffat is the award-winning scriptwriter that has taken over as the driving force behind the series after Russell T. Davies left the show. Moffat spoke at a master class on the show at a recent festival, telling attendees that he was keen to see the Saturday night show make it to the big screen. "It would be good to see it in the cinema so long as it is great and fantastic." He also stated that the movie would have to be handled very carefully, saying, "I'm not against it....so long as it never gets in the way of the TV show. If it got in the way of the show that would be appalling." Fans have been eager to see the series make the transition to the big screen ever since the show was brought back to the BBC channel four years ago. The show had almost 10 million viewers watch the season finale last month.
