CNS Fashion Survey: Katie Holmes Tries Out Baggy Jeans To A Mixed Review

New York, NY (CNS) - Actress Katie Holmes has come a long way fashion-wise since her days as a love-struck teen on "Dawson's Creek." She has become sophisticated and in a few short years has won the attention of fashion critics and fans.

"Project Runway's" Tim Gunn has been a Holmes fashion fan until recently, when the actress started wearing baggy jeans that are all the rage at the moment. Gunn claims it is a step backward for the oh-she-can-dress-so-sexy-Holmes.

Holmes, who recently debuted a new shorter pixie haircut, seems to be trying out the baggy jeans that other stars such as Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon have been spotted wearing.

Celebrity News Service did a fashion survey to see what fans thought of Holmes and her baggy jeans. "It's pretty bad when your two-year-old daughter dresses better than you do," one fan said.

Others interviewed were more willing to give the star a break. "I like them, I love the destroyed look," another fan said. "I would wear them even if I had as much money as she does and could buy any type of clothing."

Either way, CNS is sure Holmes won't be slumming for long. She has come too far with her fashion to turn back now. Besides, everyone needs to have a favorite pair of jeans to go shopping in, even the stars.
