August 27, 2008 10:04 p.m. EST Norman Vergara - AHN Sports Writer Tampa, FL (AHN) - The Tampa Bay Buccaneers sent offseason acquisition Marques Douglas to the Baltimore Ravens Wednesday, returning the defensive end to the NFL team where he had most of his success. The Buccaneers deemed the 31-year-old veteran expendable after re-signing Kevin Carter. They got two future draft picks in return, one next season and another in 2010. The 6-foot-2, 292-pounder spent four years in Baltimore, where he made a total of 11 sacks in the final two seasons. He suited up for San Francisco the last three campaigns, playing in all 48 regular-season games. Last season, he made a total of 72 tackles, three sacks and three pass deflections. Throughout his eight-year career, the Greensboro, NC, native has more than 300 total tackles, 19 sacks, six forced fumbles and 10 passes broken up. Baltimore lost defensive end Dwan Edwards for the entire season, making Douglas a priority acquisition. Douglas arrived at Tampa Bay via a four-year deal worth $10.1 million.
