Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Shannen Doherty is denying she was a bad girl, fourteen years after she had been branded as such when she left her most memorable role ever on "Beverly Hills, 90210."

The 37-year-old actress, who starred as Brenda Walsh in the 90s teen series, claims she and co-star Jennie Garth never got into a fistfight.

She told Us magazine, "We never did. I think I would remember Jennie's fist connecting with a part of my body or a part of my face."

"It just goes to show you how people will lie."

Tori Spelling, Doherty and Garth's castmate in the series, had revealed in her autobiography that Doherty had been difficult on the set. She also wrote that Doherty and Garth, who played Brenda's best friend Kelly Taylor, was involved in a fistfight during one of their episode shoots.

Both Doherty and Garth are reprising their characters in the new series' spin-off "90210."

Doherty also reveals the secret "painful" reason why she left the show and why she's coming back in the newest issue of Us magazine.
