August 29, 2008 1:06 p.m. EST Jojo Doria - AHN Irving, TX (AHN) -Adam "Pacman" Jones has been fully reinstated from his 17-month long suspension by the National Football League (NFL) Thursday, enabling him to play for the Dallas Cowboys' season opener in Cleveland. The 24-year-old cornerback/kick returner, acquired by Dallas from Tennessee, was suspended in April 2007 following a series of arrests and legal problems, including a shooting incident at a Las Vegas strip club. Jones received partial reinstatement to the NFL on June 2, allowing him to participate in the Cowboys organized team activities, practices and preseason games. Jones, who already played in the first three preseason games, with his first start for the Cowboys last Friday, was hoping for his reinstatement to come just before the opening of the regular season. And it did. However, he would have to stay out of trouble in and out of the field to stay in the NFL. Under the NFL's player conduct policy, another incident could cost Jones part or all of the 2008 season. Jones was traded to Dallas for fourth-round draft pick and a conditional pick by the Titans in April. With injured Pro Bowler Terrence Newman expected to return by Sept. 7, Jones will still likely play a prominent role in passing downs and special teams.
