August 29, 2008 7:30 p.m. EST Matt Aug - AHN Sports Editor Chicago, IL (AHN) - Alfonso Soriano's seventh inning solo home run lifted the Chicago Cubs to a 3-2 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Friday. It marked the Cubs' seventh straight victory and was their 39th come-from-behind win of the season. Rich Harden wasn't as effective as he had been in recent starts, though he tossed five solid innings of three-hit ball. Harden walked four batters but struck out five in a no-decision. Jeff Samardzija notched his first win of the season for the Cubs, thanks to Soriano's heroics while Carlos Marmol earned his seventh save. Philadelphia had a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning, as Ryan Howard and Pat Burrell collected RBI singles. The Cubs tied it up over the next two frames, as Daryle Ward plated a run on a grounder and Kosuke Fukudome drew a bases-loaded walk. Philly starter Joe Blanton had a similar line to Harden, allowing five walks and a pair of runs over 5 2/3 innings.
