Ewing, the eldest child of former Knick superstar Patrick Ewing, was originally selected by Sacramento in this year's NBA draft.
He was traded by the Kings in a multi-player deal, which included Ron Artest, to the Rockets on Aug 14.
During his senior year at Georgetown, he bagged Big East Sixth Man of the Year award after posting averages of 6.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 34 contests.
On the other hand, the elder Ewing was the No. 1 pick by the Knicks in the 1985 draft, spending his entire career in New York until 2000.
Voted as one of the NBA's 50 greatest players, Ewing led the franchise in every category, including points with 23, 665; rebounds at 10, 759; blocked shots with 2,758 and games played with a total of 1,039.
Ewing is set to be inducted into basketball's Hall of Fame next week.
Meanwhile, Weis, originally drafted in the 1999 NBA Draft but never signed with the Knicks, is currently playing for the Spanish club, Iurbentia Bilbao.
The 7-0 center native of France was part of France's Olympic squad that captured the silver medal in the 2000 Sydney Games.
